Tom Sanderson, Chief Executive Officer, Transplace

Tom Sanderson is CEO of Transplace. Since 2003, he has led the company to substantial success and continued growth. Last year Transplace acquired SCO Logistics, expanding geographically into the Northeast and vertically into the chemical industry. Tom also led the joining of forces with intermodal marketing company Celtic International. Under Mr. Sanderson’s leadership,Transplace launched International and Mexico subsidiaries, as well as Consulting and Freight Services, extending the company’s comprehensive portfolio for its customers. In 2005, he implemented Lean Six Sigma achieving millions of dollars per year in savings for Transplace and its customers. The achievements from Mr. Sanderson are well-recognized by the industry and the company has received dozens of awards. Most recently in 2011, Transplace was awarded with the SupplyChainBrain “100 Great Supply Chain Partners” distinction for the ninth consecutive year and by Supply & Demand Chain Executive as a “Top 100” provider in supply chain transformation for the fifth time. Transplace was recognized by Inbound Logistics as a Top 10 3PL for the ninth consecutive year and also honored for its Lean Six Sigma program with the Award for Excellence by the Texas Manufacturing Assistance Center.
